Business & Work
of Hirose Group
We continue to support a prosperous society
through high-quality, reliable technology
and on-site capabilities developed over decades.
The Hirose Group is a group of companies that support the building, maintenance, and life extension of infrastructure, mainly in the civil engineering and construction business. We are mainly responsible for underground work in general, including tower crane installation, pipeline rehabilitation and post-disaster recovery work. We offer a wide range of products, such as heavy temporary materials and temporary bridge materials, which we mainly lease or sell according to the needs at a construction site.
Civil engineering/construction work
-
Heavy temporary construction
Construction of earth retaining walls that support the ground excavated at a construction site to prevent collapse of soil, and erection/dismantling work of temporary shoring to support the earth retaining walls. This also includes related ground improvement and underground obstacle removal work.
-
Temporary bridge construction
We construct and dismantle overhead bridges that can be used as detours when replacing aged bridges, as well as working platforms and temporary bridges for construction on civil engineering and construction sites.
-
Underground work
We are in charge of a variety of underground work supporting infrastructure, such as high-rise tower buildings, highways and subways.
-
Ground reinforcement work
We focus on ground reinforcement work, which is achieved by integrating reinforcement members with the ground to reinforce the soil. We support a wide range of applications, such as structural reinforcement, retaining wall reinforcement, and cut slope reinforcement, contributing to earthquake reconstruction and disaster prevention.
-
Tower crane construction
Tower cranes are essential for building construction in urban areas. We are committed to understand our customers' needs and are responsible for the entire necessary process of planning, designing, and construction, from crane selection to assembling, operation, and dismantling.
-
Pipeline rehabilitation work
As the aging of infrastructure such as sewers has become a social issue, we focus on the method of reinforcement and life extension by installing a new pipe inside the existing pipe, rather than the solution of digging up the ground to replace pipes.
-
Reinforced earth methods
We support reinforced earth methods, particularly the Terre Armée method, which was introduced from France in 1975 and has become a general method after more than 40 years of improvements.
-
Leasing and sale of civil engineering and construction materials
We offer a wide range of materials mainly for underground work and working platforms used in civil engineering and construction, such as steel sheet piles, earth retaining materials, covering plates, paving plates, H beams, and temporary bridge materials.
Planning/design
-
Design of heavy temporary construction
Heavy temporary construction means construction of earth retaining walls that support the ground excavated at a construction site to prevent collapse of soil, and erection/dismantling work of earth retaining shoring. This includes erection and dismantling of platforms and piled jetties for construction made of heavy temporary materials, for which we also provide support for construction design.
-
Design of reinforced earth methods
Reinforced earth methods are methods for reinforcing and strengthening embankments, cut slopes, and ground/soil to ensure the stability of civil engineering structures, for which we provide support for design.
Role of work in civil engineering
and construction business
The construction industry plays a part in the local economy through construction, repair, and maintenance of social capital. In addition, the industry strives to respond to disaster prevention and disaster emergency measures and to support post-disaster recovery, with a mission to protect people's lives and safety. The Hirose Group supports building of social infrastructure in a wide range of business areas, particularly in the civil engineering and construction business.
